New Triumph Speed T4 at Just ₹2.05 Lakh

In a move to further energize its popular 400cc segment, Triumph Motorcycles India has introduced a range of new colours for the 2025 Speed T4. The head-turning Baja Orange edition is now officially on sale, priced at ₹2.05 lakh (ex-showroom).

Baja Orange: A Colour Steeped in Heritage

While Baja Orange is new to the Speed T4, Triumph enthusiasts may recognize it from premium models like the Scrambler 1200 XE and Street Triple 765 R. Its introduction here brings a fresh vibe to the mid-size roadster without altering its underlying mechanics or hardware.

No Tweaks to Engine – Still Packs a Punch

Under the new paint job, the Speed T4 continues to use the same proven engine — a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit. It churns out 31 PS at 7,000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, ensuring a punchy low-end and mid-range performance. This power band, especially between 3,500–5,500 rpm, makes it perfect for both city traffic and open roads.

What Else is New? Cosmetic Enhancements Only

Apart from the new colour scheme, Triumph hasn’t made any mechanical updates. However, the visual package is now more appealing thanks to:

  • Brushed steel exhaust
  • Updated frame paint
  • 3D Speed T4 branding
  • Rim stripes on wheels

The motorcycle still features 43mm upside-down forks, a slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS, adding to its value and handling.

  • Baja Orange
  • Lava Red with White
  • Caspian Blue with White
  • Phantom Black

These options are aimed at riders looking for both performance and personalization in their motorcycle.

Triumph 400cc Sales Soar in India

Triumph’s bet on the 400cc category is clearly paying off. Since the beginning of FY2025, Speed T4 sales have doubled, helping the brand’s overall 400cc sales rise by 30% year-on-year. This surge has pushed Triumph’s Speed and Scrambler models to second place in India’s classic bike segment, as per the company.

Scrambler 400 XC Also Makes Headlines

Last month, Triumph also expanded its portfolio by launching the Scrambler 400 XC in India at a starting price of ₹2.94 lakh. Unlike the standard Scrambler 400X, this version is more adventure-ready with cross-spoke wheels, a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup, and tubeless dual-purpose tyres.

Final Thoughts

The introduction of bold colours like Baja Orange is more than just a visual update — it reflects Triumph’s strategy to keep the Speed T4 line-up fresh and appealing. Combined with rising sales and broader options, Triumph is making strong progress in India’s competitive mid-size motorcycle market.
