Kia’s EV Plans Unveiled: Two New Models Targeting India’s Growing Electric Market!

After Hyundai’s successful foray into the electric vehicle market in India, Kia Motors is now preparing to make its own mark with budget-friendly electric cars tailored for Indian consumers. Having tested the premium EV space with imported models like the EV6 and EV9, Kia is now gearing up to launch locally manufactured electric vehicles at competitive prices.

Kia Carens EV to Debut as India’s First Home-Grown Electric MPV

Kia is set to launch its first made-in-India electric Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), the Carens EV, within the next 2–3 months. The EV version of the popular Carens is expected to hit the market in a facelifted version, featuring a sharper exterior design and upgraded interior features.

Recent spy images hint at a redesigned front-end with a closed grille, a new bumper, and active grille shutters – all aimed at enhancing aerodynamics and energy efficiency. The wheels are also expected to sport a new, nearly enclosed design for better range optimization.
