BMW has officially unveiled the high-performance 2025 BMW M2 CS, a limited-edition version of its beloved compact M Coupe, designed to take driving exhilaration to a new level. Slotted above the standard M2, this new CS variant comes with enhanced power, reduced weight, and advanced performance technology—making it the most capable M2 ever produced.
Built in Mexico, Bound for Global Enthusiasts
Manufactured at BMW’s San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico—the same facility that builds the regular M2—the 2025 BMW M2 CS will be produced in small quantities. Initial allocations are primarily earmarked for key markets like the United States, Germany, and China, with deliveries scheduled to begin by late summer 2025.
In Germany, the pricing starts at €115,000 (approx. ₹1.10 crore), positioning it as a premium performance offering in the BMW M lineup.

Engine and Performance: More Muscle Than Ever
Under the hood, the new BMW M2 CS carries an upgraded 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine, now tuned to deliver a mighty 530 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. That’s 50 horsepower more than the standard M2, matching the output of the M3 and M4 Competition variants equipped with all-wheel drive.
All that power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox—there’s no manual transmission option. BMW has fine-tuned the Drivelogic software for snappier gear shifts, further enhancing track performance.

Lighter Build Thanks to Carbon Fiber Focus
BMW has shaved approximately 30 kilograms from the vehicle’s total weight by extensively using carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP). This includes the roof, hood, front splitter, trunk lid, diffuser, and even sections of the interior like the center console.
Lightweight forged alloy wheels also contribute to reduced unsprung mass. With these measures, the BMW M2 CS becomes the lightest version of the current M2 lineup.

Tuned for the Track, Inspired by Motorsport
The engine’s performance is bolstered by a closed-deck block, forged crankshaft, 3D-printed cylinder head cores, and dual mono-scroll turbos—each serving three cylinders. The setup includes high-pressure fuel injection, electronically controlled wastegates, and a motorsport-style intercooling and lubrication system for optimal thermal and oil control under extreme loads.
Thanks to these upgrades, the BMW M2 CS accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, or 3.5 seconds with a 1-foot rollout. It sprints to 200 km/h in 11.7 seconds, while in-gear acceleration from 80–120 km/h takes just 3.4 seconds.
The top speed is electronically limited to 302 km/h, made possible by the standard M Driver’s Package. An optional M Performance titanium exhaust with carbon-fiber tips is also available for a more aggressive sound and reduced weight.

Precision Handling and Race-Bred Suspension
The BMW M2 CS rides on a recalibrated adaptive M suspension, featuring updated dampers, revised control software, and a lowered ride height. Both front and rear axles receive custom geometry adjustments, improving agility and balance. Braking is enhanced with available carbon-ceramic discs, wrapped inside 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloys, available in gold bronze or black.

Bold Styling and Track-Focused Interior
On the exterior, the BMW M2 CS flaunts a carbon-fiber roof, mirror caps, aerodynamic splitter, and a distinctive ducktail rear spoiler. A gloss black kidney grille and a red-detailed CS badge at the rear further set it apart.
Inside, the cabin is equally race-inspired with M Carbon bucket seats finished in Merino leather and Alcantara, complete with CS logos. The flat-bottom Alcantara steering wheel features M paddles, red center marker, and customizable M1/M2 buttons. Interior trims include open-pore carbon fiber across the dash and center tunnel.
